Hi my name is Kim. I keep a variety of very Clever Birds!
I keep Australian native and exotic parrots.
My Australian Native Parrots
Cockatiels I guess fill up more space than any others in my garden and bird room. I show my cockatiels and have a breeding program for a rare mutation which appeared in the latest "A Guide To Cockatiels" book, written up by Dr Terry Martin who is a world famous bird geneticist. A photo of my bird showed the unusual feather patterning and colour.
Budgerigars were my first bird and I keep the show budgies and Bush Budgies. My interest is in breeding unusual colours.
Rainbow Lorikeets
My Exotic Parrots
Sun Conures add that brilliant colour to the Clever Birds flock. They look like bright yellow parrots dipped in deep orange, forest green and royal blue paint! Amazing and always a delight to the eye (if not to the ears!!).
Green Cheek Conures are full of fun and like the Suns are highly intelligent and loyal companion birds.
Hand tamed baby companion parrots
Any Clever Birds that leave to become a personal companion parrot go with my guarantee of a lifetime of support. They go with a Care Sheet that has years of research and advice summarised onto one easy to read page.
You can find Clever Birds in the various bird categories on The Pet Directory website at:
www.petdirectory.com.au or phone me here in Brisbane, Australia on 0416 062 947 anytime.

hey kim
I'm quite interested in learning more about hand raising my own pet bird (budgie/cockatiel - have yet to decide)
How old do they have to be before you can start handling them, and what's the best way to go about handling them without hurting them or yourself?
thanks

Hi Lucy,
Did you want to actually hand raise your own bird or buy a hand raised one and proceed with training?
